Position: Site Engineer

Contract: Permanent, Full time

Location: North Leinster

A prominent Road Building and Civil Engineering firm are looking for a Site Engineer.

Job Description

Road Building Experience is desired but not essential.
Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
Management of programme of works and liaising with the Project Manager, the Quantity Surveyor and Client Consult Engineers and Local Authority
Mobilising sub-contractors to site, site supervision of various trades and contractors
Making sure the work performed and materials used are as specified in the contract
Overseeing quality control measures on the site
Civil Engineering background and working on Road and Civil Engineering projects would be a massive advantage

A minimum of over 1 years’ experience as a Site Engineer/Setting Out.

Typical works include ground works, drainage, services, roads and other site infrastructure, substructures, bulk excavations, groundworks and utilities. Experience with roads essential.

The ideal candidate will have the following traits but is not restricted to:

Civil Engineering or relevant degree.
This position will include the following duties. The ideal candidate will be familiar with all of the tasks listed.

Setting out, levelling and surveying onsite using GPS total station.
Setting out for Roads essential.
Topographic surveys using robotic total station.
Monitor work in accordance with specification & regulations.
Maintain records of labour, plant and site activities.
